NDTV INDIA WRITES ABOUT MEGA STAR'S STALIN

Chiranjeevi fans in for a treat

Radhika IyerThursday,

For movie buffs in Andhra Pradesh, Dussehra has arrived early as Telugu cinema's most popular hero Chiranjeevi returns to the silver screen after a gap of two years.

Chiranjeevi's dance numbers always leave the audience dancing to his tunes and his latest offering Stalin that hit the theatres on Wednesday is no different.

"The dance movements are very cute. There are very cute steps. I had specifically told him I want very different steps," said Murugadoss, Director, Stalin.

Stalin comes two years after Chiranjeevi's Shankardada MBBS in 2004 and expectations are as high as ever for a Chiranjeevi film.

"It is a very strong character. A person who wants to prevail goodness, one with a helping nature among the masses and the audiences," said Chiranjeevi, Actor.

Trisha who plays the lead opposite Chiranjeevi seems to be bowled over by the kind of adulation the megastar evokes in Andhra Pradesh.

"I have never seen a hero being god-worshipped. The aura that Chiranjeevi sir has is something nobody else can ever have. He is the king of films. Stalin is going to have the best opening. I can say that with no hesitation," said Trisha, Actress.

The film is also being simultaneously released in the US, targeting the huge NRI Telugu audience there.
