CNN-IBN WRITES ABOUT CHIRU'S STALIN

Telugu film industry's superstar, Chiranjeevi's latest flick, Stalin has created a rage among Telegu cinema fans world-over. The movie with its socially relevant theme has the actor playing a saviour of the masses. Interestingly, it’s the first time that a Telugu film is releasing with a large chunk of 400 prints worldwide, targeting Europe and American markets simultaneously. And as expected the actor's fans are queing up.

"He's a megastar of Andhra. It’s tough to get tickets. Only back row tickets are available and that too are very few," says Nagesh fan.

The movie stars newcomer Trisha in the female lead and Tamil actress, Khushboo for a wider South Indian appeal. After the lukewarm response to his last release Jai Chiranjeeva at the box office the star hopes to make amends with Stalin.

"I loved Chiranjeevi since childhood. I've seen it twice in last two days. The film is simply great," says one viewer.

In Stalin 51-year-old Chiranjeevi plays an ex-serviceman who is a saviour for the underprivileged. While the film has a social message, critics say that it also hints at Chiranjeevi's political ambitions.

"That's a million dollar question. Chiranjeevi has shown signs of a politics career but nobody knows if he is sure as yet. This is a big suspense," says Film Critic, Prabhu.
After rigorous 8-months in the making, the success of this home production would mean a lot to Chiranjeevi. And if the initial response is anything to go by, Chiru fans have already given their verdict on Stalin.

"Of course its a hit," says one viewer. "I'll come back to watch it again," says another.
